The Attah Igala, His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa 11 has called for more proactive measures on the part of security agencies, and constant surveillance to arrest possible attacks on the people of his domain.
His Majesty dropped this advise while on a condolence and assessment visit to Ankpa town, after the last armed robbery attack on two commercial Banks in the area.
The Royal father expressed shock on the level of damages and loss of lives and properties in Ankpa, saying the need to rejig local vigilante, other security outfits in synergy among others will be important.
He however commended the Police authorities in Ankpa for rising up to the occasion, inspite of multiple attacks that involved the police headquarters, while calling for reinforcement from the authorities in the state.
Agabaidu commiserated with the entire people of Ankpa and those who lost their loved ones and properties, advising them to assist security agencies with useful information, while stating that security is the business of everyone.
His Majesty was received in Ankpa by the Ejeh of Ankpa, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Amodu , Onu Ankpa, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar, prominent traditional rulers and title holders as well indigenes of Ankpa town and it’s environs.
The Attah Igala used the opportunity to donate some items in support of victims of the robbery incidence, while urging prominent and well to do sons and daughters of igala kingdom to extend their supports to the affected people in the community.
