The Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission NASC, Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi FNSE says the commission is determined to the early completion and commissioning of the new office complex of the National Assembly Service Commission located at the three arms zone.
Engr Kadi who made this statement on Thursday while addressing the Chairman and members of House of Representatives committee on Public Service Matters, also requested for adequate budgetary provision for the project and other activities of the commission in the 2023 budget.
He assured the committee of early completion of the commission’s new building once the funds are allocated, as that will safe the commission from annual payment of rent.
The Chairman of the commission had earlier commended the co-operation of the leadership of the National Assembly over their commitment to the completion of the new structure.
He said the progress of the project had reached 70% completion, and expressed the hope that the project will be commissioned before the end of the 9th Assembly.
The commission’s Chairman who expressed delight at the visit says the committees visits was always beneficial to the commission .
Earlier, the committee Chairman ,Engr Sani Bala FNSE lauded the ongoing works on the project site and commended the leadership of the commission for efficient utilisation of resources and strict supervision.
He accepted the NASC Chairman invitation for on the spot assessment of the project by the committee at the three arms zone of the Assembly.
He lauded the management of the commission for their determination to the completion of the project, saying the committee will support more budgetary provision for early completion of the project before the end of the 9th Assembly.
Engr Sani Bala maintained that the zeal to complete the new office complex will resolve not only accommodation problems , but the distance involved in movement from the commission to the National Assembly.
The House of Representatives committee urged the Chairman to sustain the tempo , avoid wastage in line with his resolve for transparent and accountable leadership at the commission.

Beni Lar, Sam onuigbo,Ahmed Madaki, others are Yerima Idris,Saidu Doka Umar, and Munir Baba Dan Agundi.
