President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on an official visit to the Netherlands today (Tuesday), at the invitation of Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale
titled ‘Tinubu to embark on an official visit to the Netherlands and attend an economic forum in Saudi Arabia’.
During his visit, President Tinubu will participate in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum.
The event aims to foster collaboration and partnerships between the heads of conglomerates and organizations in both countries, with a particular focus on innovative solutions for sustainable farming practices in agriculture and water management.

The President is also scheduled to engage in high-level discussions with Prime Minister Rutte and hold separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom. Notably, Queen Maxima serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
Ngelale further revealed that there would be extensive discussions with Dutch officials on port management operations, an area where the Netherlands boasts world-renowned expertise.
Following his engagements in the Netherlands, President Tinubu will attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting scheduled for April 28-29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The WEF will focus on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development. This visit marks President Tinubu’s second trip to the Gulf state in five months.

At the WEF, where over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia will gather, Tinubu and his entourage plan to discuss his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.
He will be accompanied by several ministers and other senior government officials.
The visit to the Netherlands marks the fourth European state President Tinubu has visited since assuming office 11 months ago and his 18th foreign destination overall.
His international travels have included trips to Paris, France (thrice); London, the United Kingdom; Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; Porto Norvo, Benin Republic; New Delhi, India; Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; New York, the United States of America; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Berlin, Germany; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Dakar, Senegal and Doha, Qatar.
