There is circulating information on social media suggesting that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is currently conducting recruitment and urging individuals to apply online.
The Explainer fact checker investigated the claim and found that the purported recruitment website circulating on social media was verified not to belong to FAAN.
Further examination of FAAN’s official website revealed no indication or announcement of any ongoing recruitment process.
Additionally, the Explainer fact checker reviewed a statement released by Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua, the Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Planning at FAAN on its official X hanle, who unequivocally denied any direct recruitment being conducted by FAAN at present.

It was also clarified that FAAN has not enlisted the services of any third-party organizations or individuals for recruitment purposes.
FAAN advises the public to exercise caution and be vigilant against counterfeit recruitment websites that may attempt to deceive and scam unsuspecting individuals.
They stress the importance of not engaging with such fraudulent platforms to prevent financial loss and potential harm.
Based on findings from the Explainer fact checker, it has been determined that the claim stating FAAN’s involvement in a current recruitment exercise is false.
