The Board of Directors and Secretariat of the Resource Centre for Human Rights & Civic Education (CHRICED) have heartily welcomed Ms. Julia Krojer, the new Head of the Misereor Dialogue and Partnership Services, as she begins her tour of duty in Nigeria.
Comrade Dr. Ibrahim M. Zikirullahi, Executive Director of CHRICED, in a statement expressed confidence that Ms. Krojer’s wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to a just and socially inclusive world will enable her to make significant contributions to the good causes of human rights, democracy, and good governance in Nigeria.
The CHRICED Director also emphasised that resuming at a time when Nigeria is preparing for the 2023 general elections gives the new Misereor DPS Head ample time to be a part of the diverse and unique efforts of civic groups working to deepen democracy through the electoral process. While wishing Ms. Krojer the best of luck in Nigeria, the CHRICED CEO also thanked the Misereor DPS Manager, Mr. Cosmas Olaniyan, for his cooperation and support over the years.
Misereor, the German Catholic Bishops’ Organisation for Development Cooperation has been supporting CHRICED’s project of Promotion of Democratic Participation and Political Accountability in Nigeria since 2009.
