President Bola Tinubu will embark on a three-day official visit to Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday. In a statement released on Tuesday, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed that Tinubu will depart from Abuja for Malabo, the capital city of Equatorial Guinea.
According to Ngelale, Tinubu’s visit to the Central African country is in response to an invitation from President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The President aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea during the visit.
“President Tinubu will meet with the Equatorial Guinean President at the Presidential Villa upon arrival, where meetings will be held between the two leaders, and agreements, particularly on oil and gas and security, will be signed,” the statement reads.
The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other cabinet members who will participate in the signing of agreements and explore opportunities to enhance bilateral trade.”
