THE ZAMAFARA State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has been presented with a new bus following an accident, which destroyed the union’s old bus in November.
The Explainer learnt the new bus was presented to the union by Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Senator representing Zamfara West District in the National Assembly.
According to the Senator’s media team, the gesture was to show solidarity with members of the NUJ Zamfara State Council following a recent auto crash involving their 18-seater bus.
At a press conference, Senator Yari sympathized with the journalists over the accident, which occurred on November 29, 2024.

The Senator noted that the bus gift was to enable the journalists to continue with their important activities of informing and enlightening the people of the state and beyond
The Explainer learnt that 15 NUJ members travelling home after the National Delegates Conference held in Owerri Imo state sustained minor injuries.
