HThe Chairman of the Council of Yoruba Traditional Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern states and Abuja, Ambassador Muhammad Arigbabuwo, has expressed displeasure at the exclusion of non-indigenes from the sharing of palliatives among citizens.
In a statement, Arigbabuwo called on state governors to consider non-indigenes in the distribution of palliatives in their respective states.
He explained that non-indigenes have been totally sidelined in the scheme.
“If truly we are one Nigeria and not a satellite, we are equally entitled and deserve fair justice,” Arigbabuwo stated.
He called on the President, National Assembly, and others to come to the rescue of non-indigenes who do not benefit from palliatives in most states.
“We are aware of several humanitarian and financial supports with palliatives given only to indigenes,” Arigbabuwo emphasized.
In the statement, he commended security chiefs for their efforts to restore national peace and unity, especially during the recent nationwide “End Bad Governance Protest”.
He also urged Nigerians to continue praying for the smooth running of the present administration.”
