The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced a change in its policy regarding the reprinting of certificates.
According to a public notice issued by NECO Registrar Dantani Wushishi in Minna, Niger State, candidates will now be required to pay a fee of ₦50,000 for certificate reprints.
This new policy comes with several important stipulations.
Wushishi emphasized that the ₦50,000 fee is not fixed and may be subject to periodic reviews.
He stated, “The N50,000 fee for certificate reprints is subject to periodic review.”
Additionally, NECO has imposed a time limit on reprint requests.
The council will only accept applications for certificate reprints within one year of the original certificate’s issuance. After this period elapses, NECO will no longer entertain such requests.
The public notice also addressed another crucial aspect of NECO’s operations.
The council has established a one-month deadline for candidates to submit requests for result corrections.
This timeframe commences from the official date of result release.
