Three people have died and five others sustained injuries following multiple bomb explosions that rocked Bassa community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Shiroro Local Government Council Chairman, Akilu Kuta, confirmed the tragic incidents during a telephone conversation from Minna, the state capital.
According to Kuta, the first explosion occurred around 8:30 am, quickly followed by a second blast that claimed two lives.
The third explosion struck the Tudun Baturia area of Bassa community at approximately 3:30 pm, resulting in one additional fatality.
The wounded victims were initially transported to Kuta General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Due to the severity of their injuries, most were subsequently transferred to IBB Specialist Hospital for advanced care. One victim remains under medical supervision at Kuta General Hospital.
The series of explosions has created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among Bassa community residents.
Local authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the explosions or identified those responsible for the attacks.
