McPherson University, located in Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has solidified its position as a rapidly growing institution of higher learning in Nigeria. The university recently received full accreditation for seven of its academic programs from the National Universities Commission (NUC),
The announcement came through a statement signed by Sanmi Enigbokan, Deputy Registrar for Information and Public Relations at McPherson University. According to the statement, the university presented seven academic programs for accreditation during the October/November 2023 exercise, all of which received full accreditation with excellent scores from the NUC.
Professor Francis Igbasan, the Vice-Chancellor of McPherson University, shared this achievement during a recent gathering with the university community. He attributed the success to divine grace, the dedication of faculty and staff, and the availability of state-of-the-art resources and facilities for learning, teaching, and research.
The University urges all stakeholders to prepare for the challenges ahead in furthering the institution’s growth and reputation. Professor Igbasan stated, “We should not rest on our oars as the Institution still have more grounds to cover.”
The Explainer learnt, the newly accredited programs include Medical Laboratory Science, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Mass Communication. Each program’s accreditation status is valid until 2028, providing a solid foundation for the university’s academic offerings in the coming years.
