THE UNITED STATES’ Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has identified more than one million four hundred and forty-five thousand “illegal immigrants” for deportation.
The deportations take place as President Donald Trump continues to crack down on the nation’s illegal immigration problem.
According to a document obtained by Fox News from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), as of November 24, 2024, 1,445,549 non-citizens were in ICE’s non-detained docket with final removal orders.
Leading the continental rate is Somalia with 4,090 and Mauritania with 3,822
Nigeria has the third-highest number of citizens in Africa with 3,690,
Ghana, with 3,228 illegal immigrants, came in fourth.
Other African countries on the list are: Guinea (1,897), Cameroon (1,736), Ethiopia (1,713), Senegal (1,689), Egypt (1,461) and DR Congo (1,068).
Globally, Honduras has the highest number of persons scheduled for deportation with 261,651.
Guatemala came second with 253,413 while Mexico and El Salvador were third and fourth with 252,044 and 203,822 citizens respectively.
Cuba came distant fifth with 42,084 people among the countries whose citizens would be deported globally.
The US government urged countries to accept the return of their nationals.
“Lack of cooperation from the foreign government delays and, in many cases, inhibits the removal process,” the document seen by The Explainer reads.

“The U.S. Government requests foreign governments take appropriate steps to confirm the citizenship of noncitizens suspected to be their nationals, which include conducting interviews, issuing travel documents in a timely manner, and accepting the physical return of their nationals by scheduled commercial or charter flights consistent with ICE and/or foreign government removal guidelines.
“Lack of cooperation from countries in accepting the return of their nationals may lead to ICE classifying those countries as uncooperative or at-risk of non-compliance.”
Trump declared that cracking down on illegal immigration would be one of his top goals before winning the presidency in November.
The president of the United States has repeatedly portrayed illegal immigrants as foreigners who increase crime in the United States.
On his first day in office, Trump issued many executive orders. He also declared a national emergency at the US-Mexico border and directed the deployment of soldiers to improve border security.
The Explainer reported that Trump had sworn to repatriate “millions and millions of criminal aliens” to their native nations.
“Today I will sign a series of historic executive orders,” Trump declared, outlining his plans to tackle illegal immigration.
“With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense,” he added.
