In the bid to boost its livestock markets, the Jigawa state government has announced plans to convert the state’s Dutse International Airport to air freight.
A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Affairs, Zainab Ringim, reiterated the state government’s engagement with foreign investors to revamp the Maigatari livestock market.
Earlier, the Governor of the state, Umar Namadi recently disclosed that arrangements were on top gear for the actualization of the plan.
Parts of the statement said: “Maigatari market is a huge market when it comes to livestock. As a government, we are trying to improve the market, and part of our plan is to rebuild that market, and when we rebuild it, we will give specific attention to livestock.”
