The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has declared the factional leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, and 96 others wanted.
Among the wanted individuals are suspected terrorists, insurgents, and others believed to be involved in various criminal activities that undermine the nation’s security. The names and pictures of the wanted persons were released in a notice on Friday, March 22.
In November 2022, the DHQ also declared 19 suspected terrorists wanted, with a bounty of N5m on each of them.
Forty-three suspects were declared wanted in the north-west; 33 in the north-east, and 21 in the north-central and south-east regions.
Apart from Ekpa, others suspects from the south-east include Chika Edoziem, Action One, Egede,Williams Agbo, Zuma, ThankGod, Gentle, Orsu Callistus, Ebuka Nwaka, Informant, Friday, Flavour, David, Mathew, among others.
Some of the suspects from the north-west region include Dogo Gide, Bello Turji, Mahundi Yakubu, Alhaji Shingi, Dogo Nahali, Ado Aliero, Maundi; Dan Bokkolo, Boka, Ladi Yadi, Leko; Nagala, Maman Kabiru, Kinshasa Muktar; Kachalla Rugga, Nasanda, San Dangote, Saidu Idris, Danda, Laibi, and Sani Gurgu.
Those from the north-west region include Abu Fatima, Baba Ngule, Ali Ngule, Mohammad Khalifa, Sani Teacher, Abu Zaida, Baba Data, Modu Sulum, Umar Tella, Abu Mutahid, Abdul Saad, and Ba’a Sadiq.
