A public confrontation has erupted between the religious and social media spheres after Pastor Lazarus Mouka, founder of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Movement Church, responded to social media personality Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, over controversial church testimonies.
The dispute began following viral testimonies from the church, including a claimed miraculous healing of a 12-year-old child.
Recently, the church’s social media presence has garnered significant attention, particularly on platforms like TikTok, where numerous testimonies have been shared.
During a recorded church service, Pastor Mouka addressed VeryDarkMan’s criticisms directly.
“No, Chosen will not learn something the hard way; he is the one who will learn it the hard way. What’s happening today? Is he learning something the hard way?” the religious leader declared, responding to VeryDarkMan’s earlier warnings to the congregation.
According to church sources, the confrontation stemmed from a report brought to Pastor Mouka’s attention. “Somebody came to talk to me about that case and said, ‘Pastor, do you see a man speaking against us? The man said, Chosen people will learn something the hard way,'” Mouka recounted to his congregation.
The controversy intensified on September 16 when VeryDarkMan took to Instagram to challenge a particular testimony involving the alleged healing of a lame child through Pastor Mouka’s prayers.
The social media critic, known for his controversial commentary on social issues, concluded his critique with his signature phrase, “You all going to learn the hard way.”
In his response, Pastor Mouka emphasized that his words weren’t meant as a curse or negative proclamation against VeryDarkMan, but rather a reflection of the critic’s own words. “I didn’t say anything evil to VeryDarkMan,” the church leader clarified.
