A Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has cried out, calling for prayers from his hospital bed.
The singer who rose to fame with his hit song “Zazu Zeh” has been admitted to an undisclosed hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by two US-based artists over a N3.5 million deal.
The incident ensued after Portable, who earlier agreed on the deal demanded an extra N1 million, claiming that “his price has increased this year.”
However, things turned sour when the artists allegedly attacked him, demanding a refund of the money.
The caption reads; “Feeling so much pain right now, just your prayer. I don’t want to die young.
“Nobody fights for me, but I get GOD. A truth only always on my right, if GOD is GOD I no go fall ZAZUU.
“Didn’t get myself right since I was beaten by those guys, from one pain to another, just being strong for myself and lover praying for me, make GOD heal me totally.
“Evil people want to fall me. Thank God Say man no be God.”
The Explainer has not confirmed the identities of the alleged assailants. However, Portable’s fans and fellow artists have expressed sympathy and wished him a swift recovery.
Known for his controversial activities on social media, Portable often calls out his business partners for not fulfilling their agreements. He was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command in 2023 for refusing to honour a police invitation over an alleged assault.
