Chicago State University (CSU) has finally released President Bola Tinubu’s educational records to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recent presidential elections.
This follows a legal battle in which Atiku successfully obtained permission from the court to investigate Tinubu’s academic qualifications as a graduate of CSU.
Tinubu had submitted his academic credentials from Chicago State University (CSU) to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as evidence of his eligibility for participation in the electoral process.
A United States court, presided over by Nancy Maldonado, ordered CSU to provide Atiku with Tinubu’s educational records to verify and support Tinubu’s claim of graduating from CSU. The court’s decisive ruling dismissed Tinubu’s objections to Atiku’s request, explicitly mandating CSU to release the academic records to Atiku.
In compliance with the court’s order, the university released the documents on Monday night.
