The organisers of the Big Brother Naija show, Multichoice have announced auditions for its 9th season.
In a statement released on its official X page, the entertainment giant said the audition will commence on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 8:00 pm.
The stakes in the 9th season are higher and more thrilling as contestants will audition in pairs.
“Whether they are close friends, family members, romantic partners, or any combination that represents a dynamic duo the call is out for pairs who can bring energy and synergy to the Big Brother house,” said the statement.
Contestants are encouraged to submit a three-minute video that not only showcases their individual personalities but also their strengths as a duo, and most importantly, why they should be the ones to entertain Nigeria in BBNaija Season 9.
“Exciting News! Biggie is back for #BBNaija Season 9 auditions with a twist! The audition requires 2 people.
“This year, it’s a search for Dynamic Duos that love the show and can turn up the heat in Biggie’s house! Can you make a Dynamic Duo? Simply swipe and follow the instructions!” it added.
Big Brother Naija, originally known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a cultural phenomenon that has captivated audiences since its inception on March 5, 2006.
The show’s format, based on the international Big Brother franchise, places contestants in an isolated house where they vie for a substantial cash prize and other rewards, all while avoiding eviction, which is determined by viewer votes.
Over the years, BBNaija has evolved, with each season bringing fresh excitement and twists. The show’s eighth season, dubbed “All Stars,” premiered on July 23, 2023, and featured fan favourites from previous seasons, culminating in Ilebaye Odiniya’s victory.
The show’s enduring popularity is a testament to its ability to reinvent itself, continually engaging viewers with its unique blend of drama, humour, and the human spirit.
