In an interview, Basic Education and Literacy Zonal Coordinator Iliyasu Yusuf Omo Kanyani explained that the Rotary Clubs’ needs assessment in Kaduna State revealed minor challenges hindering students’ intellectual growth.

Gbande and Omo Kanyani emphasized that supporting education and literacy is a key focus area for Rotary Clubs.

Gbande noted that the girl child’s education in Northern Nigeria requires attention, hence the need to promote girl child education for societal growth.

At the event, speakers Prof. Hawawu Yusuf and Dr. Bilkisu Abdulmumin highlighted the benefits of education, including economic development, poverty reduction, and increased productivity.

They encouraged the female beneficiaries not to be discouraged from pursuing their dreams. “Education is the best asset to break the poverty cycle. A well-educated girl child can become innovative and a good leader,” Prof. Hawawu Yusuf emphasized.
