MEN OF NIGERIAN Police have arrested one Alh. Sabo Manigi, a 70-year-old man, was convicted for stabbing a prosecutor attached to Mashegu Magistrate Court to death over a minor misunderstanding.
The suspect hails from Manigi village under Mashegu and was captured by Police in Bode-Saadu village in Kwara State.
According to Wasiu Abiodun, Police Spokesman in Niger State, the suspect was trailed and arrested on Thursday in Bode-Saadu village of Kwara State.

His statement reads, “The operatives of Niger State Police Command have arrested a suspect, who has been on the run, one Alh. Sabo Manigi 70yrs of Manigi, Mashegu LGA on 25/2/2025 at about 3 pm after being trailed to Bode-Saadu, Kwara State”.
He added that the suspect allegedly stabbed Musa Nasiru, a prosecutor of Magistrate court in Mashegu, to death.
“It could be recalled that the suspect allegedly stabbed Inspr Musa Nasiru, a prosecutor attached to Magistrate Court, Mashegu to death on January 3rd, 2025 over a minor misunderstanding and escaped to an unknown destination, until now being arrested”..
He further stated that the suspect confessed to the crime as he is under investigation in SCID Minna, adding that he would be charged to court for prosecution as soon as the investigation is concluded.
