North West Concerns Citizens have expressed deep gratitude to the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, for neutralizing numerous bandits, including key loyalists of notorious leaders Dan-Isuhu and Dogo Sule.
This follows the recent success of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) airstrikes, neutralizing high-ranking bandits, including loyalists of Dan-Isuhu and Dogo Sule.
In a statement on Monday, Coordinator Abdulrashid Ibrahim Danja Katsina described the operation as “a significant milestone in the ongoing campaign to restore peace to Zamfara and the North-West region.”
He credited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating the comprehensive strategy, including ordering Dr. Matawalle and military chiefs to relocate to Sokoto State.
“This move underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens across the region,” Mansur said.
Under Matawalle’s leadership, the military achieved notable successes, eliminating key bandit leaders like Alhaji Halilu, bringing renewed hope to violence-plagued communities. During a recent Sokoto State visit, Matawalle directed troops to capture notorious bandit leader Bello Turji, dead or alive.
Residents expressed optimism about Turji’s imminent capture, boosting security personnel and community morale.
