In response to a recent attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Israel, President Joe Biden of the United States affirmed his nation’s steadfast support for Israel, denouncing the assault.
He expressed this commitment through an official statement shared via his communication platform on Saturday evening.
President Biden stated, “In this moment of tragedy, I want to say that the United States stands with Israel, and we will never waver in our support.
We are committed to ensuring that Israel receives the assistance needed to protect its citizens and defend itself.”
He continued, “The world has witnessed distressing images—thousands of rockets raining down on Israeli cities within a matter of hours, resulting in the loss of lives not only among soldiers but also innocent Israeli civilians in their streets and homes.
Hamas has perpetrated acts of terror, taking innocent people hostage and inflicting harm upon them.” “The United States firmly supports the people of Israel in the face of this terrorist assault,” he emphasized.
President Biden reiterated, “Israel possesses the inherent right to defend itself and its people. There is never a justification for terrorist attacks.”
