A woman, Khadija Umar (also known as Naira), and her two biological sons have been arrested by police operatives attached to the Angwan Lambu Division for housebreaking and theft.
According to a statement by Ramhan Nansel, Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, Khadija allegedly used her two sons and two other suspects (still at large) to carry out the thefts.
Upon their arrest, the following items suspected to have been stolen were recovered as exhibits:two television sets, two 6×6 mattresses, a gas cooker, a 12kg cylinder, a standing fan, a Go TV decoder, cooking pots, an electric jug, a refrigerator, and solar panels.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered a manhunt for the fleeing suspects and directed the Divisional Police Officer to charge the arrested suspects to court for prosecution upon conclusion of the investigation.
