Kaduna: PRP Chieftain Blames Governor Sani For Rising Insecurity
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter

A Chieftain of the People Redemption Party (PRP) in Kaduna state, Abdullahi Ahmad Wakili has blamed Governor Uba Sani for the rising insecurity in the state.

Describing Kadunaโ€™s situation as โ€œunpleasant,โ€ Wakili who flagged PRPโ€™s ticket for Kaduna Central Senatorial district said the security challenges bedevilling the state was due to a lack of direction and coordination by Saniโ€™s administration.

He stated this in a statement on Friday, March titled: โ€œKaduna State APC-led administration; from high speed, to a standstill.โ€

Wakili said; โ€œOn the other hand, the present insecurity challenges that has aggressively resurfaced, with devastating instances such as the Kuriga School abduction, Kajuru attacks and kidnappings are attributed to the state existing weak governance, which has resulted in poor monitoring and coordination of the state security system.

โ€œThe relative peace, enjoyed by Kadunans during the past administrations is now deteriorating by the day.

โ€œThe present situation in the state raised so much questions about the governmentโ€™s priorities and its commitment to good governance.

โ€œI feel duty bound therefore, on behalf of the silent majority, to call on the led administration to publish its 10-months score-card, hence, explain reasons for the decimal performance, particularly in the areas of security and infrastructural development, and also state its position on the status of the littered inherited abandoned projects.โ€

Reacting to the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state, Wakili noted that the stateโ€™s IGR is declining, largely, due to alleged leakages in the system and lack of commitment by the government.

He further explained in the statement that, the APC administration has undoubtedly created good opportunity for the leading opposition party in the state, the Peopleโ€™s Democratic Party (PDP) to maximally leverage on and possibly bounce back.

He added that opposition parties in Kaduna state Were โ€œduty bound to, ethically and patriotically, team up in restoring Kadunansโ€™ hope and rescue the state in the hands of the APC-led administration.โ€
