Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Mr Sule made the call on Wednesday in Lafia while receiving the report of the reconciliation committee set up to address the grievances of members at the recent party primaries in the state.

The governor appealed to the members to put everything behind them and work for the partyโ€™s victory in 2023.

He said everyone who participated in the primaries should accept the outcome in good faith as โ€œleadership only comes from Godโ€™โ€™.

Mr Sule commended the aggrieved persons for appearing and tabling their issues before the committee.

โ€œAll those who left the party are not our enemies, but we cannot work for the success of anyone who is no longer in APC.

โ€œWe cannot stop anyone who feels aggrieved and wants to leave the party from leaving, but we will engage them and discuss with them with a view of addressing issues,โ€ Mr Sule said.

He also expressed gratitude to the committee members for accepting the assignment given to them and promised to do his best toward implementing their recommendations.

Earlier, Hassan Liman, the chairman of the committee, expressed gratitude to the governor for giving them opportunity to serve the state and the party.

Mr Liman said the committee had interacted with more than 95 per cent of aspirants who participated in the APC primaries.

The committee chairman, therefore, appealed to the governor to ensure full implementation of the recommendations of their report.
