ASUU Protests at Nasarawa State University

Lecturers under the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, held a peaceful protest over alleged non-implementation of agreements. The union pressed for improved funding, payment of earned academic allowances, and better working conditions. Leaders said the action aims to draw attention to systemic gaps affecting research and teaching quality. They urged authorities to honour commitments and prioritise negotiations that keep campuses open, protect students’ timelines, and stabilise the academic calendar.
